Just a father, his dad, and his kids on the back deck, melting plastic in the sunshine and shaping it into forms we hoped would trick a hungry fish. It was raw, hands‑on, and full of possibility — the kind of beginning that feels more like a memory than a business plan.

But the outdoors had its own plans. Rainstorms swept in, the winds howled, and nature struck without warning, transforming our little deck-top workshop into a drenched mess.
